Directions:
Three capsules 3 times daily before meals. Ingredients:
Yellow Dock
Family:
Polygonaceae |
Latin Name:
Rumex crispus |
Description
Yellow dock is a common weed, found nearly world-wide. It quickly inhabits cultivated ground and grows along road sides producing copious quantities of seed each fall.
Common Uses
Yellow dock has the reputation of being a liver tonic, gall bladder tonic, and the best organic source of iron available. The root has diuretic properties, increasing urine production and elimination of toxins via the urinary system. It can be used for gout, cystitis, water retention, and urinary stones and gravel.
Goldenrod
Family:
Compositae |
Latin Name:
Solidago virgaurea |
Description
Variable perennial with a knotted rhizome and upright stems. Yellow flowers are born in the summer, followed by brown fruits with a tuft of short, white hairs.
Common Uses
Because it is an antioxidant, diuretic, and astringent, goldenrod is a valuable remedy for urinary tract disorders. The diuretic effect is very helpful for cases of colon bacilli. The saponins act specifically against the Candida fungus, the cause of yeast infections and oral thrush.
Eyebright
Family:
Scrophulariaceae |
Latin Name:
Euphrasia officinalus |
Description
Annual with flowers shooting out in terminal spikes with leafy bracts. Flowers are white or purple with yellow spots or stripes. Leaves are stiff, ovate, pointy, and small. It produces seeds with many ribs from small, flattened capsules. Height: 2-8 inches. Blooms: July-September.
Common Uses
Antibacterial and a liver stimulant, eyebright is also astringent. Eyebright contains vitamins A, C, D, E, and several of the B vitamins. It is an antioxidant, cleanses and purifies the blood, and stimulates a healthy liver function.
Red Clover
Family:
Leguminosae |
Latin Name:
Trifolium pratense |
Description
Erect to sprawling, short-lived perennial with long-stalked leaves divided into 3 obovate leaflets. Purple-pink, sometimes cream, tubular flowers are borne in globose heads from late spring. Height 8-24 inches.
Common Uses
Red clover is used internally for skin complaints, especially eczema and psoriasis. It may be used with complete safety in cases of childhood eczema, cancers of the breast, ovaries, and lymphatic system, chronic degenerative diseases, gout, whooping cough, and dry cough. It has been given as part of a holistic treatment for breast tumors and fibroids, both associated with excess estrogen, because the herbal version competes with excess estrogen, allowing the body to come into balance. The estrogenic effect may be of use in treating menopausal complaints.
