Description
Tall, attractive tree growing up to 195 feet. The trunk is smooth and cream colored with a covering of grayish-blue bark that peels off in narrow strips. Creamy-white flowers are borne on short flat stalks, followed by fruit that is concealed in an aromatic, camphor scented, woody cup.
Common Uses
The essential oil found in the leaves is a powerful antiseptic and is used all over the world for relieving coughs and colds, sore throats, and other infections. The essential oil is a common ingredient in many over-the-counter cold remedies.

Description
Spore bearing vascular plant, growing mainly along the ground. Branched stems are dense with small, spirally arranged leaves. Branches bearing yellow-green spore cones turn erect and resemble small coniferous tree seedlings. Length: Up to 1 meter.
Common Uses
A decoction of the plant is analgesic, antirheumatic, carminative, and tonic. The spores can be used to absorb fluids from injured tissues, thereby reducing swelling.

Description
Aromatic perennial grown for its distinctly flavored leaves. Flowers are yellow or greenish-white in terminal panicles but are usually sterile. The leaves are linear to lanceolate, undivided, born singly at the top and in threes below. Height: Up to two feet.
Common Uses
Tarragon leaves are used to settle upset stomach, promote menstruation, and as a diuretic. They are also often used to help eliminate toxins from the body by aiding digestion and speeding up the digestive process. Tarragon has been shown to fight intestinal worms in children. In adults, it also alleviates insomnia, hyperactivity, and depression.
